Buggeration - I wanted to add a countdown thingy on my profile and managed to erase my bio *headdesk*. It kind of needed updating anyway, but I don't feel like doing it now. Meh.
I was listening to Christmas carols (as I seem to be in a Christmassy mood). Anyway, by brother comes downstairs as the Singers Unlimited are singing "Oh Hail Lord" from Oh Come Oh Ye Faithful. So what does
chilliconcarne hear? Gay Lord *multiple headdesk*
Speaking of brothers: I wrote a short HP summary thingy for my English group, only to realise during the lesson that it was full of type-os. First of all I wrote Dumblefore at one point, and then I said that "Ron has got five bothers". I fail at the English language.

If you'd like to get a Christmas card from me and haven't given me you address yet you can comment on this post with screened comments. I'll try to get them done and sent by the end of this week, if possible.
Four of my pupils where sick/absent today, so I was done two hours early, which was a pleasant surprise. Yay for extra free time (especially since I had virtually none this weekend).

It's this time of the year again - more or less. Well, we had our first snowfall, and my pupils have started requesting Christmas carols, so there :-P
If you'd like to receive a Christmas card from me, please leave your address - comments are screened. If you have an X-mas card exchange/wishlist post of your own, link me, and I'll drop by :-)

But I just wanted to wish everybody a late Merry Christmas and a early Happy New Year!
***
I'll be leaving to London tomorrow in the early morning (and at the current status of my packing, and the fact that I'm online, I'll probably end up not sleeping at all :-)) - and I'll be staying until the fourth of January. New Years Eve in London - very exciting! And then Sarah Jane Smith Adventures, and Torchwood finale ... sounds good :-) (I've finally caught up on Torchwood again, and I must say that I like the later episodes quite a lot better).
***
I also quite enjoyed The Runaway Bride. The story was a bit meh, but the character stuff was great I thought. It was good fun (I laughed quite a lot), but there were enough quiet and darker moments as well - a nice mix.
I really liked the Confidential on the music - especially since I've been listening to the soundtrack I got for my birthday :-). There's a lot of good music on that cd.
***
My brother Andy got poker chips for Christmas, so he,
chilliconcarne (my other brother) and I are in the process of becoming poker freaks. He taught us Texas Hold Up today, and that was good fun.
***
Hope you all have a great New Year's Eve!

X-mas card reminder and Dalek Invasion of Earth

Just saw this subject line while I was checking my spam filter: "Doctor Approved and Recommended". Oh yeah :-P
Also, if you'd like me to send you a Christmas card but don't know if I have your address or not you post it in my X-mas card poll in this post.
Feel a bit queasy today. My head's been aching for a few days now, and today my stomach seems to be acting up a bit. I'd don't think I'm really getting sick, but I still feel a bit meh.
I'm getting into the mood to start my annual reading of "The Lord of the Rings", but I really should wait until the Christmas holidays - I'll have more time then, and can spend hours on end in my room reading *sighs whistfully*. I could re-read the Harry Potter books in the mean time ...
Finished The Dalek Invasion of Earth the other night - I actually really liked it (though it was a bit slow at times). The First Doctor somehow reminds me of Yoda, but then maybe that's just me, hmm? ( Some random thoughts )
I'm sure there was more, but that's all I can think of at the moment. I'm in the mood for some more First Doctor now - question is, The Edge of Destruction or The Web Planet.

Merry Christmas everybody! *hugs flist*
Woah - busy weekend. We had a concert in a town north of Vienna on Sunday - the concert began at ten in the morning and we wanted to start rehearsing at eight. And as this town is all the way on the other side of Vienna (and as there are hardly any buses on early mornings on Sunday) I ended up leaving home at ten to six. Needless to say it was quite dark, and it seemed as though I and the bus driver were the only people up ;-).
The whole thing was quite adventurous though, and the concert went relatively well (some small things happened, but nothing too obvious). I was beat afterwards and would have loved to crash and sleep for several hours - which I would have done if it hadn't been for the fact that I had to go to the music school for a Christmas concert thingy with my pupils. It went well too, but the church was much too cold for my taste. *shiver*
Then I crashed for about an hour and went to see King Kong ;-). Movie was ok I thought, though a bit long. I can't quite make up my mind what I think about it - I might have to see it again (though I'm not sure I will).
Had busy teaching day today, with Chistmas performance thingies with my music groups (very small scale, just singing some of the songs we've worked on, followed by eating of the cookies). And then I went to see Goblet of Fire with
mjear_matlak. For the third time ... I admit it. I'm a freak - but hey, I really like that movie ;-)
I also got the first three HP movies from
colourful_muse and
mjear_matlak for my birthday, so now I can finally see the first one and rewatch the others. Squee! *hugs*
Anyway - enough rambliness. Off to bed! Or possibly off to read some fic - still have to wind down a bit ...
